Features
BaziArt is a timing planner and a decision journal built on the traditional Chinese calendar. BaZi and Qi Men Dun Jia are an explained layer of context here: every rating comes with “why I see this” and a source, and the decision stays with you. Below is what the app does, tab by tab.
Today
- Day timeline. Twelve double hours with your events; time windows are the background, the event is the point. The task of the day (general, career, relationships, travel, quiet) changes how windows are rated.
- “Why I see this.” Tap a window to see the rule that rated the hour: signs, directions, structures — in a plain and an expert register, with a path into the library.
- Events offline. Your own events live on the device; events from the system calendar appear alongside if you grant access.
- Day context. The day pillar and its interactions with your chart, including whole-pillar interactions.
- Saved searches. Hour searches with an event name and the next suitable hour — right on the first screen.
Time
- Pick an hour. A task, the direction of the matter and a window of 3, 7 or 14 days — the double hours that pass the Qi Men rules, with the reasons the others did not qualify. Before your first search, an on-device example.
- Compare two hours. Two options side by side: score, structures, warnings, the target palace and a list of what differs — instead of one “right” answer.
- Chart for now. A 3×3 Qi Men chart for the current moment or a chosen date, each palace explained.
- My calendar. Events from the system calendar marked with hour ratings; “Suggest a time” creates an event, and two hours after it the app asks how it went. Calendar access only when you turn it on.
- Calendar and season. Solar terms, micro-seasons and the cultural calendar of the year.
Chart
- Four pillars. Year, month, day and hour in the true solar time of the birthplace; a “three pillars” mode when the hour is unknown.
- Day Master and balance. Strength by the rules of the system with its spread across possible hours, the balance of the five elements, luck pillars with exact dates, symbolic stars.
- Master mode. Ten Gods, hidden stems, nayin, the twelve stages of qi.
- What in the chart may change. One card about the precision of the data: unknown hour, time near a double-hour boundary, a clocks-change hour — and which parts of the chart depend on it.
- Birth-time rectification. Possible hours checked against life events, for charts without a birth hour.
- Term explanations. A help icon on every section opens a library entry with sources.
- PDF passport and share card. The passport as a file; the share card is free.
Ask
- Decision journal. An entry with a time window and a direction; 30 days later the app asks about the outcome. Kept on the device only, with text export.
- AI readings. A reading of the chart by topic — relationships, wealth, calling — and a reading of an hour chart. A third-party AI is called only on your action and after a separate consent screen; every answer can be reported.
- Chat about your chart. Questions about your own chart under the same rules and limits.
People
- Compatibility of two charts. Day Masters, branches and palaces of two charts from your own list side by side — a one-time purchase.
- Invitation. The other person builds their chart from your link, and the comparison opens for both for free, with no purchase.
Profile and settings
- Calculation settings. Day boundary at 23:00 or 00:00, true solar time, the Qi Men method, the centre variant, a city for time calculations; a screen on why the chart is built this way.
- Theme. Dark by default; light or match device in Profile → Theme.
- Sources. The classical treatises the engine relies on, and the school choices where the canon allows variants.
- No sign-up required. Guest access, email optional; account deletion inside the app.
- Three languages. Russian, English and Spanish in one build.
On the device, offline
The planner, hour searches, charts and your saved natal chart work offline after the first calculation: the calculation core is built into the app. A home-screen widget shows the chart of the day. What is free and what the subscription and one-time purchases include is on the Pricing page.
A tool for self-reflection and planning, not a forecast of the future: it does not diagnose and does not replace a doctor, a lawyer or a financial adviser.
