End of Heat — 处暑 (Chǔshǔ)

End of Heat (处暑, Chǔshǔ) is the 14th of the 24 solar terms, at the Sun's ecliptic longitude of 150°. It is a mid-term (中氣): it falls in the middle of a BaZi month and does not change the month pillar.

Customs

“End of heat”: the heat retreats, the air turns dry and clear. Customs: duck soup and herbal infusions, opening the fishing season on the coast, and the Hungry Ghost festival of the seventh lunar month, which usually falls near this time, with lanterns on the water.
