About BaziArt
BaziArt is a time planner and decision journal on the traditional Chinese calendar. The app reads your day through two classical systems, BaZi and Qi Men Dun Jia, and shows it not as a text about the future but as a layer of context over your ordinary schedule: which hours of the day this system considers suited to a meeting, a negotiation, a journey or rest — and why.
Three layers
- The birth chart — BaZi. The four pillars of the date and time of birth, the Day Master, the balance of the five elements and the ten-year luck pillars. The chart is calculated once and stays the point of reference: everything else is read against it.
- The hours of the day — Qi Men Dun Jia. Every double hour has its own layout: gates, stars, spirits and directions. The planner turns it into time windows on the day timeline, and for every window explains what in the layout it takes into account.
- The decision journal. You record a decision and the window you chose; a month later the app asks how it went. That is how your own record builds up instead of someone else's promises; entries stay on your device only.
Principles
- An explanation, not a verdict. Every assessment has a “why I see this”: the rule of the system, the term and the source in plain words. The decision always stays with you.
- The tradition under its own names. BaZi and Qi Men are neither dressed up as science nor flattened into a horoscope: the terms, the characters and the classical names are kept, with an explanation beside them for someone meeting them for the first time.
- Minimal data. The planner and saved charts work offline, no account is required, and calendar access is requested only when you turn the feature on. Third-party AI is used only on your action and after a separate consent.
- Boundaries. BaziArt makes no diagnoses and gives no advice on health, money or law. On hard topics the app points to people who can help.
Method
The calculation rests on the author's own method, grown out of many years of practice with the classical texts of BaZi and Qi Men. Where schools disagree, the system makes a deliberate choice and names it in the explanation instead of hiding it behind an averaged answer. The texts a reader sees go through several rounds of proofreading before release; the calculations are pinned by checks against classical examples and against hard cases such as historical time-zone changes and clock-change days.
How to try it
You can calculate a chart right on the website, without an account: the chart calculator shows the four pillars, the Day Master and the element balance, and a chart code opens it in the app. What the app does, tab by tab, is on the features page; terms and rules are in the library.
